Dutch Amateur Championship 15 - 18th of August 2024

We are very pleased to announce that the Eindhovensche Golf, in close co-operation with the Royal Dutch Golf Federation, will host the 24nd Dutch Amateur Championship from 15th till the 18th August 2024. 72 holes international strokeplay amateur event in The Netherlands has been played since 1898. With a field of 102 men and 42 women, the tournament has grown into a unique and increasingly international event. It has been part of the EGA-calendar for many years.

It is our joint ambition to further grow the event, thus, the Eindhovensche golf, the Royal Dutch Golf Federation and the European Golf Association are currently working closely together in order to give the Dutch Amateur Championship an even greater exposure in the international amateur golfing scene.

Dutch Amateur Championship

A four-day 72 holes stroke play tournament which is the leading international amateur event in The Netherlands. The field of total 144 players will consist of:

Nations Trophy

The Nations Trophy is open for teams of two (minimum) or three (maximum) players that their National federation should enter. A maximum of three teams may represent each country. The Nations Trophy (36 holes strokeplay) will occur during the first two rounds, i.e. on August 15 and 16. 

Program

After the opening ceremony, there is a BBQ available for players. You can get your bracelet at the registration counter.

Entries

Entries should be submitted online at www.dac.golf/the_tournament/registration. The deadline for entries is August 1, 2024, at 23:59 (CET). Only complete entries will be included in the draw. For a complete entry, the entry fee needs to be paid in advance of the tournament. See ‘Registration fee’ for more details.

Registration

On-site registration must be done by all participants and is possible on Wednesday, August 14, from 10:30 - 15:00 or August 15 (well) before the first round. Players must register in person and show a valid handicap certificate.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is € 195,00 per person, which includes:
● Entry fee
● One 18-hole practice round
● Use of the practice facilities
● Welcome drink & diner at the opening ceremony on Wednesday, August 14
● Lunch and diner on Thursday 15th, Friday 16th, and Saturday 17th of August
● Lunch on Sunday, August 18
● Free shuttle service from the Van der Valk Hotel to the Eindhovensche Golf on the 15th, 16th,
17th, and 18th of August

The fee needs to be transferred with the provided link to the Eindhovensche Golf at the moment of
registration. Players who register will receive a message containing a payment link and a request to
upload a WHS certificate. Once both requirements are met, the player has officially registered.
Players who do not make it into the field of participants or withdraw on time will be reimbursed with
their original payment.

Practice Round

From August 12 to August 14, it is possible to book a tee time for your practice round. For each player in the tournament, one practice round is free of charge. Practice times can be booked by phone at +31 40 2014816 (caddie master) or via email to the Eindhovensche Golf: info@eindhovenschegolf.nl.
The fee for an additional round is €25,- and €10,- for players in possession of a NGF-card. There are limited spots on Wednesday August 14 because of the AM-AM sponsor event that is played.

Hotel Accommodation

The Van der Valk Hotel in Eindhoven offers a preferential rate for participants in the Dutch Amateur Championship. We have blocked a number of rooms that will be available based on first comes first served. Unbooked slots will be released 1 month prior to the tournament's starting date (at the 15th of July).

Shuttle Service

There will be a shuttle service available between the Eindhovensche Golf and the Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven for players and coaches from August 15 to 18. Arrangements are to be made at the Info Desk. Pickup/drop off at other hotels may be possible on request and depending on availability.

Driving Range

The driving range is free of charge and open from 7:00 - 20:30.

Trolleys

Free trolleys are available (limited: first come, first served) and can be booked by phone (+31 402014816) or via email to the Eindhovensche Golf: info@eindhovenschegolf.nl (caddie master). The deposit is € 25,00 in cash.

Dress code

The player is responsible for complying with the Dress Code of the Club where the competition is held or, failing that, for wearing appropriate clothing.

Anti doping policy

All players are subject to the provisions of the International Golf Federation's Anti-Doping Policy. Details of the Policy and the current List of Prohibited Substances and Methods are available from the International Golf Federation's website (www.igfgolf.org). Players who are taking medication and in doubt as to their clinical status should seek advice from the IGF knowing that, should a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) be required this must be submitted to the IGF not later than 30 days before the start of the Championship. Bar and Restaurant

Breakfast (not included for players) from 07:00 to 09:00
Lunch from 11:30 to 14:00
Diner from 19:00 to 21:00

Water

Free water is available. In the Netherlands, the purity of tap water is reliable. Taps are located at Hole 1 and Hole 10.

Inclement Weather

For applicable signals, see the noticeboard on-site.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly forbidden anywhere on the course, in and around the clubhouse. Smoking is only permitted in the car parking area. Vapors / electronic cigarettes are regarded as 'smoking.'

Portrait Right

The DAC committee reserves the right to record/use visual footage of all players and spectators throughout the tournament (including practice day). The Championship Committee can use the footage for promotional purposes without any additional consent of the player.
